Prizes of One-Act play for HSS, colleges declared
PANAJI: The results of the one-act play competition at higher secondary and college-level organized by Kala Academy have been declared.
In the Konkani section, 'Aas' by St Xavier College, Mapusa, 'Date' by Narayan Zantye College Bicholim and 'Tagdi' by Dyanprasarak Mandal College Assagao bagged the first, second and third prizes espectively.
The first and second prize for best acting (male) went to Gaurav Kubal (Xavier) and Nehal Desai (Assagao).
The first and second prizes for acting (female) went to Asmita Kambli (Bicholim) and Prerna Palekar (Xavier).
Sagar Haldankar (Aas) Gopal Bhimbar (Date) and Chandru Govekar (Tagdi) won the first three prizes for direction.
The prizes for technical support went to Sagar Haldankar (sets-Aas). Ankita Sawant (best lights-Aas) Amit Rane (best background music) Vipul Natekar (Best make-up) Prashanti Talpankar (Best costumes).
The first prize for best script went to Gopal Bhimbar (Date), second to Chandru Govekar (Tagdi) and third to Shrikant Palsarkar (Nipadari). In the Marathi section 'Kavle' staged by Dyanprasarak Mandal College Assagao, and 'Aakrit' staged by DM’s PVS SM Kushe HSS were awarded the first and second prize respectively. 'Badli' by St Xavier College, Mapusa bagged the third prize
The panel of judges was Rajendra Mahajan, Vrunda Naik and Shirish Naik.
Kunal Dhargalkar (Badli) and Suraj Patki (Arz) got the first and second prize for acting (male) whereas Prajakta Naik (Kavle) and Trupti Salgaonkar (Checkmate) were awarded first and second prize (female).
Shrinivas Usgaonkar (Kavle), Rajaram Narvekar (Aakrit) and Satish Narvekar (Badli) bagged first, second and third prize respectively for direction.
The prizes for technical support went to Girish Abhyankar, (best Set-Kavle); Shripad Kuncolienkar (best light effects-Badli) Devraj Gawas (best background music-Kavle); Mamata Verlekar (best make-up-Badli) Sakina Kerkar (best costumes-Arz); Rajaram Narvekar (best script-Aakrit).
