One held for raping minor
PONDA: Ponda Police on Monday arrested a 30-year-old resident of Sacorda-Dharbandora on charges of raping a 15-year-old girl, who delivered a baby boy a couple of days ago.
Ponda Police said the accused, Raja Surya Udhalshekar, was arrested after the victim girl's family complained about the incident.
Sources informed that both the accused and the victim met for the first time at Colva and then developed a friendship with each other and used to meet often.
In a complaint, it is stated that she was raped in Bethora-Ponda. Ponda Police is further investigating the case.
