One held with drugs in Anjuna

MAPUSA: A 25-year-old man from Mumbai was arrested on charges of possessing drugs in Anjuna on Friday.

Imran Khan was arrested by Anjuna Police when they found 25 grammes of charas worth Rs 18,000 in his possession.

At Thursday midnight, a police patrol party found the man moving around in a suspicious manner at Temb Ground, Anjuna. On inquiry and search, police discovered drugs on his person.

He was arrested under the NDPS Act. ASI Kiran Mamledar is investigating the matter.

MAPUSA In two major decisions, Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) on Friday resolved to outsource garbage collection from the municipal market and requested for change of zone of the proposed new bus stand site from transport zone to C1 zone.
