Bicholim Police arrested a resident of Poriem-Sattari on charges of possessing ganja worth about Rs 2000 at Karapur-Tisk, Bicholim, late Thursday night.
According to Bicholim PI Narayan Chimulkar, acting on information that some youth are involved in supplying narcotics like ganja at Karapur-Tisk, they conducted a raid and arrested Suraj Shetye and recovered ganja weighing about 80 grams.
The accused has been booked under Section 20(1) of NDPS Act 1985. PSI Pritesh Madgaonkar is investigating the case under the guidance of PI Narayan Chimulkar.
