The Margao railway station wore a deserted look with not a single train originating from the station and only the long-distance trains making a halt on Sunday.

However, passengers who alighted at the railway station from the long-distance trains had a hard time, with no transport facilities outside and no restaurant and food stalls operating at the station premises.

A group of Navy personnel who had descended at the Margao railway station from Kerala were ferried to Vasco by the Navy vehicle.

The Margao black and yellow taxi counter wore a deserted look and the taxis were all parked at the station premises on account of the lock down.

DySP, Konkan railway Sammy Tavares along with PI Sheriff Jacques and personnel were seen at the railway station taking stock of the situation.

The KRC staff deployed for duties were seen doing thermal screening of the motley passengers arriving at the railway station.
