Panaji Police have arrested a gang of motorcycle thieves from Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Three accused have been arrested and three stolen motorcycles with Tamil Nadu and Kerala registration plates have been recovered from their possession. The entire operation demanded meticulous planning and coordination among the staff of Panaji Police, who successfully busted the racket.
The accused persons include Manikandan (24) from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, Dhanskheer (24) from Palakkad district of Kerala and a juvenile accused.
Two Royal Enfield bullets bearing registration numbers TN-41 AZ-2828 and KL-39 K-8285 (stolen from Miramar on 31/10/2020) and one Pulsar motorcycle bearing No. KL-58 Z-260. The approximate worth of the bikes has been placed at Rs 5 lakh.
The accused have been booked under IPC for theft and common intention and have been placed under arrest.
The team of Panaji Police was led by PI Sudesh Naik, PSI Sahil Warang and PSI Mandar Parab under the overall supervision of SDPO Panaji Uttam Raut Dessai and SP North Utkrisht Prasoon.
Several Head Constables and Police Constables worked thoroughly to develop reliable information and executed the operation impeccably leading to arrest of accused and the recovery of the motorcycles.
