Panaji PS attack case: Police produce FIR register in court

MARGAO
The Panaji police on Friday produced the FIR register before the South Goa Principal Sessions judge in connection with the Panaji police station attack case.

The Court had last month granted the plea made by the Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) seeking directions to the Panaji police to produce the FIR register before the court.

Though a police officer produced the FIR register before the Court, the proceedings could not continue due to the absence of the prosecution witness, then Panaji DySP Mohan Naik.

At the last date of hearing, the Sessions Court had partially allowed the prayer made by the Revenue Minister and others seeking directions to the CBI to produce the closure report filed before the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao in connection with the counter complaint filed by the Monserrate’s against the Panaji police.
