MARGAO
The South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA) has constituted a five-member panel to scrutinise the objections received by the Authority for the Land Use Map and Register prepared by the body before preparing the draft Outline Development Plan (ODP) for Margao and Ponda.
The panel comprises of MLAs Digambar Kamat and Ravi Naik, besides Venkat Raut, besides PDA Member Secretary Ashok Kumar. The PDA has so far received a number of objections to the Land Use Map and Register since the plan was kept
open for public objections a month ago.
“After scrutinizing the objections, the panel will place them before the authority,” the SGPDA decided on Tuesday at its meeting chaired
by Chairperson Dr Renuka
Da Silva.
The adjourned meeting also saw the PDA granting approval for the relocation of the St Francis Xavier Chapel located on the Old market circle-KTC road.
The meeting also discussed the developmental applications received by the PDA and granted approvals for those which were inspected by the PDA members.
The meeting also resolved to appoint a supervisor to monitor the ongoing work on the renovation of the PDA retail fish market.
