Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is ‘feeble’ but well on the way to recovery, BJP legislator Nilesh Cabral, who claimed to have spoken to the Chief Minister no less than seven times during his period abroad has said.
Cabral’s statements come even as there has been no official word on the health of the Chief Minister for over three weeks when it was informed that he would be resuming the second round of treatment for his pancreatic ailment.
It is, however, reliably learnt that the Chief Minister has been in constant touch over the phone with several senior ministers in his Cabinet as well as officials in his departments to keep abreast with several developments in the State.
Among the persons to whom Parrikar has spoken to include Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.
“Yes, we miss Mr Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister. Everybody is praying for his recovery. We are also praying that he recovers fast and CM’s office is issuing regular statements. We are waiting for him… till doctors advise him to travel back to India,” Cabral said.
Cabral later apologized for no official update on the CM’s health but said that he could vouch for his health because had personally spoken to him.
