Peaceful polls in Sattari constituencies

Elections to the three ZP constituencies of Nagargao, Keri and Honda in Sattari took place without any untoward incident on Saturday.

Polling began on a dull note and continued till 11 am, before voting began to pick up pace in the second half of the day.

According to reports, one Covid patient also went to vote in the Honda ZP polls.

Sattari Election Officer Rajesh Ajgaonkar told media persons that polling took place peacefully and there was no untoward incident.

He said counting will take place on Monday at 8 am at the Valpoi Forest Training Centre hall.

PERNEMA relatively low turnout in Pernem taluka will be of concern to the 21 candidates staking claim to the four ZP constituencies of Arambol, Morjim, Dhargal and Torsem.Voters did not seem too excited about the polls and candidates along with their workers were seen trying their best to get voters to the polling booths.
