Pedestrian succumbs to injuries in Tivim mishap

MAPUSA

An 81-year-old pedestrian died of injuries after he was knocked down by an SUV at Tivim on December 14.

According to police reports, Priyakant Vaman Parab was crossing the road at about 7.45 pm when he was struck by an SUV, which was proceeding from Karaswada to Bicholim, near the Roy Farm.

Parab was shifted to the hospital but died while undergoing treatment on Monday. Colvale police have registered a case against the driver Nagesh Sawant and PSI Rohan Madgaonkar is conducting further investigation.
