St Andre TMC-MGP alliance candidate Jagdish Bhobe while speaking to the media recalled his campaign saying, “People welcomed me when I went for the door-to-door campaigns, and I feel this is a good sign.”
When reminded that he was in the Goa Forward Party earlier, he flatly said that the issue is closed and did not find any difficulty in approaching people. “It is a blessing in disguise,” he said.
“People wanted to see somebody fighting very hard and sincerely against the BJP. And people have accepted me because they gave me a warm welcome. Expecting that the voting will be 80-85 per cent, which will mean that people have come out in large numbers to cast their vote, which again is a good sign," he said.
"Polling started late, and St Andre people will want me to see them at the Assembly. There are incidents of some contestants distributing money, but people now know to take action. Police will take action too. Someone was arrested in Surla Bhat. People will choose a sincere and clean candidate and an educated one who knows to respect his voters,” said the candidate.
