Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said employees of Goa Human Resource Development Corporation would be given permanent status after their probation period.
Addressing the passing out parade of 85 GHRDC security guards at the Valpoi Forest Training Centre, Sawant also said that the GHRDC aims to be the biggest self-sustained corporation in the human resource field in the next five years, providing regular jobs to Goans who could not complete their education.
“The GHRDC was formed to provide employment for the deprived. Sincerity towards work is the key to progress and GHRDC employees should pursue further education to open the doors for a better future.”
“In the next five years, GHRDC aims to be the biggest self-sustained corporation in the field of human resources, providing regular jobs to Goans who could not complete their education. Permanent status shall be given to GHRDC employees after probation period,” said Sawant.
The chief minister said security guards have been deployed at various government offices and in private establishments across the State.
Others present at the event included Valpoi Community Health Centre Health Officer Dr Sham Kanakonkar and GHRDC Managing Director Narayan Navti.
Navti reviewed the work of the security personnel and appealed to people to support the newly recruited security personnel while they discharge their duties.
The GHRDC was set up to provide skilled and trained manpower in different areas like security, housekeeping and gardening to various government departments. It is now also catering to job vacancies in the private sector.
Meanwhile, the Sattari Journalists Association expressed displeasure after media persons were not invited for the passing out parade.
