VASCO: One of the unique features of the pilgrimage is ‘Shwan Mauli’, the dog that first joined the Varkaris during the inaugural Vari from Cortalim. The faithful companion completed the entire pilgrimage and was later adopted by one of the devotees.
Since then, Shwan Mauli has become an integral part of the annual Vari and is once again accompanying the pilgrims for the third consecutive year.
