Phone services restored in Sancoale
CORTALIM: After being out of order since Sunday evening, most telephones in Sancoale under Cortalim telephone exchange were brought back into service on Thursday evening.
About 300 telephone lines on Sunday evening stopped functioning after the telephone cable caught fire.
Incidentally, telephones play a major role as a means of communication in Sancoale, as large parts of the village do not have cellular phone services, leaving the residents totally dependent on landline phones.
