Nearly 16 months after he was suspended and arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in an alleged Rs 2 lakh bribery case, Police Inspector Sunil Gudlar has been reinstated and posted to the GRP.
Gudlar, who was suspended and arrested on April 21, 2025, was granted bail in the corruption case and has now been brought back into active service through a fresh transfer and posting order issued by the Goa Police Headquarters.
The transfer order, issued on August 6 on the recommendations of the Police Establishment Board “in public interest”, covers 21 police personnel, including head constables and police constables, besides two PIs.
The only other police inspector transferred under the order is PI Razashad Shaikh, who has been shifted from the Economic Offenses Cell to GRP.
The reshuffle also reflects an attempt to rebalance manpower within the force, as nearly three-fourths of the transferred head constables and constables attached to GRP have now been posted to Vasco Police Station.
