Fr C Rodrigues Institute of Technology, Vashi (Navi Mumbai), which is run by the Agnel Region of the Society of Pilar, Goa, was on Monday conferred with ‘The Best College Award 2020-2021’ in the urban area category, by the University of Mumbai at a function in the Sir Pherozeshah Mehta auditorium hall, University of Mumbai Kalina Campus.
The award consisting of a certificate, a memento and a cash prize of Rs 50,000 was received by Fr Saturnino Almeida, SFX, Managing Director of Fr Agnel Technical Education Complex, Vashi and Dr S M Khot, Principal, FCRIT from Dr Suhas Pednekar, Hon. Chancellor, University of Mumbai.
Fr C Rodrigues Institute of Technology, commonly known as FCRIT, is located inside the Fr Agnel Technical Education Complex in Sector 9A, Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
The college was selected on the basis of various criteria, namely infrastructure, faculty, innovation and accreditation among others. Research and publications by both faculty and students also formed one of the major criteria for the award.
This award appreciates the excellent all-round performance of the management, Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff and the students of the college.
