Pilgao man ends life at Karapur
BICHOLIM: A 50-year-old man from New Wada in Pilgao-Bicholim allegedly committed suicide at his cousin’s place at Kothiwada-Karapur, Bicholim, on Monday.
According to Bicholim Police, Mahadev Salelkar had gone to his cousin’s house as the cousin was alone. As the cousin did not see him in his bed early in the morning, she started a search for him. She was shocked to see the body of Mahadev hanging from a mango at the end of a rope.
Police said the body was sent to GMC Hospital for post-mortem and it will be handed over to relatives for final rites. The reason behind committing such an act is yet to be ascertained.
PSI Anand Narvekar conducted the panchanama and is investigating the case under the guidance of PI Narayan Chimulkar.
