The popular Indian rapper, Mika Singh has been accused of allegedly constructing a structure in Anjuna without permissions and in violation of CRZ rules.
Social activist, Ravi Harmalkar in a complaint to the deputy town planner has alleged that Amrik Singh alias Mika Singh has been constructing a compound wall and a structure in a property bearing survey no 603/1 without obtaining any permission from concerned authorities and in violation of the CRZ rules and regulations.
He has alleged that the construction is done without obtaining a conversion sanad and the structure is coming up within the radius of two metres of the High Tide Line.
“The construction is totally illegal and is being carried out without obtaining necessary licence/permission from the local panchayat and other concerned authorities,” Harmalkar alleged in his complaint.
He also alleged that the construction was being carried out without any approval from the Town and Country Planning Department and no plans have been approved before beginning the construction work at the site.
“The said illegal construction is being carried out without any development permission from the Development Authority under The Goa (Regulation of Land Development and Building Construction) Act, 2008 and The Goa Land Development and Building Construction Regulation, 2010,” Harmalkar alleged.
He further alleged that the construction was being carried out without any approval from the PWD and the Health authorities.
Harmalkar has asked the authorities to take cognizance of his complaint and stop the construction work immediately and demolish the construction.
Acting on the complaint, Anjuna Sarpanch, Savio Almeida had issued a notice to Mika Singh under section of 82 of the Panchayat Raj Act to stop the illegal construction and to be present for the site inspection on May 24.
“We had issued a notice to Mika Singh based on a complaint of the locals of the village. We will issue another notice to him again,” Almeida said.
