Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday hinted that the schedule of the six-day budget session of the Goa legislative assembly may be altered due to the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Sawant said, whether or not to tweak the schedule of the assembly session will be discussed in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting scheduled for Thursday morning.

The Prime Minister will be attending the ‘India Energy Week’ programme which will be held at Betul in South Goa where Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Ltd has a major facility.

While in Goa on February 6, Modi will address a government public function in Margao and will also inaugurate four projects including the already functioning campus of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) at Cuncolim.

The National Institute of Water Sports, Dona Paula, new campus of the Naval War College at INS Mandovi at Verem and the integrated waste management facility at Curchorem are the other three projects Modi is slated to inaugurate.

For three other projects, Modi will lay the foundation stone -- the PPP ropeway project at Reis Magos Fort, the 3 D-printed building at Patto, Panaji, and the construction of a 100MLD water treatment plant at Xelpem, Salaulim.
