Three persons were injured in a collision between two scooters at Benaulim.
According to Colva police, the accident occurred when the rider of a scooter, one Clint, who was riding along with pillion Moysaeb and proceeding from Montir, Benaulim to Pedda, Benaulim collided with another scooter which was controlled by one Joao, and proceeding in the opposite direction. Resultantly, both the riders as well as the pillion rider were injured in the process. Colva police registered an offence under Sections 279, 337 and 338 of IPC.
The Margao town police have arrested one Nirakar, who is suspected to have allegedly assaulted another person at a construction site at Navelim.
According to Margao town police, the incident was reported on July17, when the suspect Nirakar allegedly assaulted one Malay with an iron rod, thereby causing injuries to the victim's face.
Acting on the complaint lodged by one Babulal, the police nabbed the suspect Nirakar. A case under Section 326 of IPC has been registered.
