Police rally on drugs at Chaudi
CANACONA: Canacona Police on Sunday staged a rally at Chaudi to mark the International Day Against Drug Trafficking.
The rally commenced from the police station at Mastimoll and culminated at the KTC bus stand. About 200 students from three town schools participated in the rally, which was also attended by 50 police personnel including PSI Prashal Dessai, PSI Damodar Shirodkar and others.
Besides carrying placards with anti-drugs campaign, the students also shouted slogans to create public awareness among the residents to desist from using or trafficking any drugs or narcotics substances.
The placards also warned of severe punishments as per Indian Penal code for involvement in drugs or narcotics trafficking.
