The presence of a private helicopter at the parking lot of the Goa Tourism Development Corporation at Baga on Thursday raised dust in every sense, with locals seeking to know if the chopper had permissions to land at the site.
While the parking area incharge claimed that the private helicopter had obtained necessary permission to land at the spot, he declined to disclose the identity of the helicopter.
Locals also sought to know the need for a helicopter to use the public parking lot at Baga, when a helipad at Sinquerim was barely a few kilometres away. They also demanded an explanation on how a private helicopter was given permission to land on a public parking lot in government property, especially since there was no emergency.
