Amid claims and counterclaims of illegal felling of trees and illegal processing of the logs at the Carpentry Common Facility-Cum-Production Centre at Idhar-Loliem, a truck was seen moving out with a load of processed wood from the carpentry unit on Friday.
On seeing the truck loading some processed wood, some passers-by questioned the loaders, but they refused to divulge who had sent them and why they were lifting the wood which was processed at the carpentry unit.
Posting a video, Congress leader Janardhan Bhandari and Goa Forward Party Environment Cell Chairman Vikas Bhagat claimed that someone was trying to clear wood from the carpentry unit without conducting enquiry and investigation.
“This is the act of someone trying to save their skin, but the government and authorities should take note of such cover-up,” informed Bhagat.
