Uttam Parsekar, the principal chief engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD) got yet another year’s extension in service and will remain head of the crucial department until the end of January next year (2025).
Parsekar’s one-year extension in service is among three such, granted by the Pramod Sawant administration to senior officers. Director of Planning and Statistics, Vijay Saxena, has also got a year’s extension post his superannuation, an order of the Personnel Department said.
The third official to get a year’s extension in service is Subhash Borkar, who is the principal of the Government Polytechnic, Bicholim.
The order of the Personnel department granting Parsekar the extension in service states that it is up to January 31, 2025.
This is the second such one-year extension in service granted to Parsekar.
