Panaji: The Joint Mamlatdar and Executive Magistrate Bicholim Taluka along with Police Constable Shashil Shetgaonkar and Rohan Vinji of Bicholim Police Station conducted raids recently under COTPA Act near Bicholim Bus stand, Mulgao Village and Muslimwada Bicholim of Bicholim Constituency in Bicholim Taluka. Three offenders were booked and a fine of Rs 600 was imposed on them for violation of section 4 and 6 of the COTPA Act. Instructions were also given to shopkeepers to display boards of 'No Smoking' as per specifications given in the COTPA Act.
