Raids under COTPA in Bicholim
PANAJI: The Bicholim and Sankhali block-level enforcement squad for COTPA Act under the guidance of joint mamlatdar conducted raids at Karapur-Sarvan, Sankhali, Kumbharwada, Mayem lake, Ardhawada, Bhavkai and Tikhazen in Mayem village. 22 offenders were booked and fine of Rs 4,700 was imposed on them.
Instructions were given to shop keepers to display board of 'No Smoking' as per specification given in COTPA Act.
