The Konkan Railway Police has recovered 60 mobile phones that were either lost or stolen from passengers travelling on trains along the Konkan Railway route.  

Addressing the media, Konkan Railway Police in-charge PI Vikram Naik said the phones had been stolen from passengers travelling on different trains.

He said the recoveries were made through sustained investigation, technical analysis and the coordinated efforts of the staff of the Konkan Railway Police Station. Several people have been traced and arrested in connection with the cases registered at the police station.  

PI Naik said the recovered mobile phones will be returned to their rightful owners after verifying ownership and completing the necessary legal formalities.  

The Konkan Railway Police has appealed to passengers to remain alert while travelling and take proper care of their valuables.
