PERNEM
Parts of a body believed to be that of a woman in her thirties were found near the railway bridge in Naibag in Pernem.
Police suspect that the woman may have been murdered two days ago.
Pernem police said a person had called up about 5 pm to state that parts of a woman's body had been found near the railway bridge at Naibag-Pernem.
Pernem police rushed to the spot and conducted a panchanama of the incident. The body has been sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The identity of the deceased is unclear as the Pernem police had not received any report of a missing woman. Police investigations are in progress.
