Fifty-year-old Rajeshri Phadte who was rescued on Tuesday from inhuman confinement in a room at Talaulim-Ponda for about 11 years, has been kept under observation at the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour (IPHB), Bambolim.

He said, there is a need to strengthen the beat patrol system of the Police, and also make beat officers sensitive and accountable.
