Kejriwal on Monday evening visited the Bicholim market to inspect the three fruit shops, one belonging to an AAP volunteer, which were allegedly set ablaze by miscreants on Friday.
After inspecting the shops, Kejriwal expressed concern over the issue.
One of the shop owners, Zulekha Bi Shaikh, who is also the grass-root level activist of AAP, told Kejriwal that her shop was purposely set ablaze by some persons from other parties, as she was campaigning for AAP.
After listening to her, Kejriwal in a public address criticized the Congress and BJP and stated that both the parties have resorted to violence after realizing that AAP will create a vote bank in Goa to win seats in the forthcoming assembly polls.
He asked AAP activists to respond to any violent activity with love and patience.
“I know that Goa is a place of peaceful and calm people and hence violent activities like setting ablaze a shop creates a bad feeling about Goan people among the outsiders,” said Kejriwal.
He condemned the act of setting ablaze shops simply because shop owners were AAP activists.   He said like in Delhi, Congress and BJP will be dethroned in Goa in the forthcoming assembly polls.
“Like in happened in Delhi, AAP will also reduce prices of electricity bills in Goa besides rooting out corruption once coming to power,” he assured. He was accompanied by AAP leader Ajitsingh Rane and others leaders.
