Two robbers snatched the mangal sutra of a woman, while she was walking along the road to Sarvan-Bicholim on Thursday afternoon.
According to Bicholim police, Indira Dhawaskar from Dhawaskarwada in Sarvan-Bicholim filed a complaint stating that two unknown persons on a scooter snatched her mangalsutra valued at about Rs 1.4 lakh and fled from the scene, while she reaching her home.
Dhawaskar said the scooter used by the accused did not have a number plate.
Bicholim Police Inspector Philomino Costa has appealed to people to contact the police in case they find anybody riding vehicles without a number plate and if found moving in a suspicious manner.
Bicholim police is investigating the case.
