Rohan Vasker has been selected as the working president of Konkani Bhasha Mandal’s 24th Goa Yuva Mahotsav for the year 2018-19. The decision was made at a recently held meeting of the earlier working presidents.
Vasker has been active in the Konkani movement for last several years. He is known as a silent worker in the field of Konkani.
“Rohan has carried out several responsibilities in organising of Goa Yuva Mahotsav and has reached this position. He has always been behind the curtains and his selection is recognition of several silent workers like him,” said Chetan Acharya, past working president and present President of Konkani Bhasha
Mandal.
“I will take up any responsibility necessary for making this year’s Mahotsav a great success,” said Rohan Vasker after taking the reins of the working president.
The Goa Yuva Mahotsav is slated for 19-20 January in Mollem, Dharbandoda. The preparations are on and over 50 teams including cultural groups and educational institutions are expected to participate in the festival like every year.
