The Election Commission of India-appointed Roll Observer Sandeep Jacques, IAS descended at the South Goa district Collectorate on Friday to take stock of the ongoing exercise of the preparation of the intensive roll revision.
Jacques along with South Goa district Collector, Jyoti Kumari, Additional Collector, South Paresh Faldesai and other officials participated in the exercise at the district Collectorate. The election authorities were scheduled to hear the objections lodged by the parties to the inclusion and exclusion of names on the electoral roll during the intensive revision.
Though the exercise was open for the political parties, representatives of the political parties were conspicuous by their absence as they are believed to have attended similar exercise in North Goa.
