A 43-year-old man from Chandanwadi-Bastora succumbed to injuries while the other sustained injuries in a road mishap at Bastora.
The accident took place between the Tar Junction at Bastora on Thursday morning and both the two-wheeler riders were travelling in the opposite direction. Laxmikant Dhargalkar (43) breathed his last at the GMC hospital, while the other victim Rosario Alfonso is being treated at Mapusa District Hospital.
The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after post-mortem. Police Hawaldar Mahesh Shetgaonkar conducted the panchanama of the accident. The police have registered offence against Rosario Alfonso under Sections 279, 338 and 304 of IPC.
