Rosy 'aunty' remanded to 3-day police custody

Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Panaji on Sunday granted three days police custody to the third accused, Rosy Ferros, in the ongoing case of alleged rape of a minor girl by St Cruz MLA Atanasio 'Babush' Monserrate.

Ferros was arrested after she deposed before the Crime Branch on Saturday.

In her statement, the minor girl has accused Ferros of mediating the contact and deal between Monserrate and mother of the minor.

She is a neighbour of the girl\'s family and hails from Caranzalem.

Ferros will now be presented before the Goa Children\'s Court on Tuesday.

Potency test positive, psychiatric test today

The physical potency test of Babush Monserrate was conducted on Friday and Saturday, and sources from GMC confirmed that the test was \'positive\'.

Babush will be taken in for a psychiatric analysis on Monday or Tuesday. Previously, Babush was taken in for a physical test on Friday and Saturday to confirm his potency, with the reports being positive.
