MAPUSA: Cash and silver coins worth Rs 5.70 lakh were burgled from a wholesale pharmacy store in Mapusa.
The burglars decamped with Rs 5.5 lakh in cash and 12 silver coins from Drogaria Colvalkar situated opposite the Mapusa agriculture zonal office, Duler, Mapusa.
Mapusa Police informed that around six to seven burglars gained entry into the office cabin by cut opening a window grill.
The burglars entered at around 1 am on Saturday morning and the whole sequence was recorded on CCTV cameras.
The burglars bid came to light when the staff entered the office on Saturday morning, said complainant Rajesh Colvalkar. PSI Tejas Kumar Naik is investigating the case.
