Safety Week at Marcaim
PONDA: The Marcaim Industrial Estate Industries Association (MIEIA) and Encube Ethicals Pvt Ltd will jointly organise several programmes to observe safety week from Friday.
The safety week programmes will continue till March 10.
MIEIA president Sohan Kelekar claimed that their association is the first to organise such programmes. Anita Parab and Aditya Shirodkar of Encube, MIEIA secretary Sushil Sirsat and others were present for the news conference.
Kelekar said they have organised awareness programmes to minimize accidents in the industrial estate. “Director of Fire Services and Factories and Boilers will participate in the programmes. We have also organised poster competition for school students,” he said.
Vivek Marathe, chief inspector of Factories and Boilers, will inaugurate the safety week.
On March 9, awareness about Factories Act, safety management, accident reporting, investigation and analysis, safety use in electricity, storage and handling of chemicals will be conducted.
