GIPARD training programme in progress at the South Goa district Collectorate on Wednesday.

A GIPARD training programme on People Plan Campaign 2021 for Participatory Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) was held at the South Goa Collectorate, Margao for 15 village panchayats of Salcete.
Dr Gunaji Desai, State Resource Person, introduced the Campaign to the participants.
Roland Martins, Co-ordinator GOACAN, covered the responsibilities of Sarpanch, Panchayat Secretary, VDC Convenor and Self Help Groups during the PPC.
Ashwini Padiyar, faculty GIPARD, explained the Finance Resource Envelope, the timeline of the PPC, preparation of the Agenda & Report of the gram sabha meetings, etc.
Shubham Shet, District Manager DRDA South, spoke on the need to integrate the Village Poverty Reduction Plan (VPRP) into the GPDP.
Among those who attended the training programme were Sarpanch Basilio Fernandes, Camurlim, Janety Cardoso e Silveira, Guirdolim, Milagres Rodrigues, Curtorim, Allwyn George, Carmona, Johnson Coelho, Colva, Vencila Fernandes, Cana-Benaulim, Xavier Almeida, Assolna, Constancio Miranda, Betalbatim, Ramdas Usgaonkar, Aquem-Baixo and VDC Convenors Agnelo Fernandes, Cana-Benaulim, Marcos De Mello, Chinchinim and Nelson Fernandes from Assolna.
