A woman drowned in the river at Savordem-Sattari when she had gone for sand extraction activities on Sunday.
Suvarna Gaonkar had gone to extract sand when she accidentally fell into the river and drowned.
Some locals pulled her out of the river, and she was shifted to the Community Health Centre in Valpoi, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
