Councillor Messiah (Meshu) Dcosta of Sanguem Municipal Council recently presented a mobile phone as a gift to the control room of the Electricity Department, Sanguem.
The control room which is located in the town area receives and resolves complaints received from power consumers from town area and part of Uguem Village.
However, most of the time when the people dial the registered complaint number, the land line either remains non-operational or the linesman on duty are on out of office job with no person to take the calls ultimately making the people drive to the control room to lodge the complaints.
In order to provide a relief to the locals, Dcosta thought of this unique gift to the control room. The councillor informed that he has already recharged the mobile phone with a three-month subscription and also assured to recharge it subsequently if the department fails to recharge the number.
The residents can now call on 942350166 to register their complaints.
