Saraswat Samaj meeting at Khandepar
PONDA: Ponda Saraswat Samaj (PSS) has organized a convention of Saraswat families at the resort of Sandeep Khandeparkar along the banks of river Khandepar on May 22.
According to a press release, the convention will be inaugurated by retired judge Avinash Lawande and noted educationist Madhav Kamat will be the guest of honour. The function will be presided over by Rajendra Kakodkar, president of the Samaj.
Madhav Kamat will speak about current challenges before Saraswat Samaj, while Dr Purnima Usgaonkar will speak on healthcare industry and Adv Shubhalaxmi Nayak will touch on matrimonial problems and Saraswat Samaj.
A congregation of probable brides and grooms from the Saraswat Samaj will be held during the day-long programme. Competitions like Master Saraswat, Miss Saraswat and Mr&Mrs Saraswat will be conducted.
