MARGAO
South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha on Wednesday said he will not shy away from taking over the reins of GPCC in Goa if the party leadership asks him to do so.
He also made it clear that though he had dislodged the Congress government to become the CM, he never wanted BJP to come to power.
When pointed out that party workers are opposed to any move to make him the GPCC president given his past association with the BJP, Sardinha said, “It is true that I had dislodged the Congress government and became the Chief Minister. But, I had never made Manohar Parrikar the Chief Minister. Those who had supported Parrikar to become CM should answer why they brought the BJP to power”.
