MARGAO
Goa Forward Party General Secretary Prashant Naik has lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime cell of Goa police on Wednesday after a resignation letter did the rounds on social media stating he had quit from his post primary membership of the regional party.
In his complaint, Prashant stated that the address on the letter is wrong as it neither mentions residence nor office in Maina-Curtorim. He, however, said the signature on the letter is very similar to his. It is either forged or scanned, he added.
While requesting the Cyber Crime police officer to initiate immediate action and book the culprits, he said the episode has harmed his reputation and caused him tremendous stress and loss of peace and mind.
The resignation letter which was circulating on social media on Wednesday stated that Prashant has quit the regional party because more importance was being given to Durgadas Kamat, who hails from Mangalore, when the party’s motto is Goem, Goemkar and Goemkarponn.
