Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today ruled out any political interference in the ongoing investigations related to various scams and frauds that have been unearthed in the last couple of months.
He also said that as of now no links found to any political figures in the cash-for-job scam.
"There is complete transparency in the investigation. Police are given a free hand and there is absolutely no political interference," he told media persons responding to questions.
The investigation includes cash-for-job scams, cash-for-land scams, money laundering, bank frauds, etc.
The Chief Minister reiterated that no one involved in these crimes will be spared.
So far 33 arrests have been made in cash for job scams, while another two each are arrested in land and bank fraud cases.
Referring to the Fatorda to London scam, the CM stated that it is being thoroughly investigated.
