MAPUSA: Launching a signature campaign against bad governance in the State, the Shiv Sena has urged the Goa Governor to dissolve the government so that people get an opportunity to elect new legislators.
“Ailing ministers including the chief minister have been frequently visiting hospitals either outside the State or the country and therefore are not available for routine administrative work. Governance has failed and we people are at a great loss,” said Jitesh Kamat, President, Shiv Sena, Goa unit.
Kamat along with other colleagues was addressing the media after launching a signature campaign in Mapusa market on Friday.
Continuing, Kamat said the chief minister and his other ailing colleagues have refused to disclose their ailments so far. “We appeal to the Governor Mrudula Sinha to dismiss this government so that people of Goa can get an opportunity to elect a new government which will work 24x7,” he said.
He said PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar recently said that government was working fine, but wondered why the potholes continued to dot various roads in the State.
Kamat also pointed to statements made by TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai who expressed dissatisfaction with the functioning of the government.
