Stating that the government is trying to promote Ayurveda, Union Minister of Ayush Shripad Naik said that some quacks are not following procedures and are maligning the image of Ayurveda.
Naik also said that with variety of medicinal plants in the Western Ghats and other regions, Goa has the potential to become an Ayurvedic research hub.
The Union Minister while speaking at a book release function said Ayurveda gives a complete solution to the health problems without any side effects.
There is no chance one can point out any mistake in
the science of Ayurveda, he added.
If we follow a balanced lifestyle with the help of Ayurveda, most of the health problems can be resolved within six months, said Naik.
Naik, along with speaker of the Assembly Rajesh Patnekar released a book of Ayurvedic practitioner Dr Aditya Barve, “Swasth Raha Mast Raha” (Live healthy, live joyful)
Speaking further Naik asserted that the government through the Ayush ministry was promoting research in Ayurveda. “We want to take Ayurveda to every house. Soon the taluka-level wellness centres will be established,” he added.
Naik said if Ayurveda reaches every household, people will become prosperous and this will lead to the prosperity of the nation.
Speaker Patnekar congratulated the author of the book Dr Barve for enlightening people with ayurvedic thoughts.
