Addressing the media, Salkar said he has tendered his resignation to the BJP State president Vinay Tendulkar.
“The BJP high command failed to take me and my BJP supporters into confidence before allotting the party ticket to sitting BJP MLA Carlos Almeida,” alleged Salkar.
In his resignation letter to Tendulkar, Salkar stated that he has been actively involved in building the BJP unit in Vasco constituency and has been working tirelessly in building the party from grass-root level in Vasco.
Salkar added that he regrets that his efforts were not recognised and despite being eligible leader.
“Paying heed to my supporters to contest the forthcoming assembly election, I am resigning from the primary membership of the party,” Salkar stated in the letter.
“If the party high command does not listen to the grievances of the party cadre, what guarantee is there they will listen to the grievances of the common men,”
asked Salkar.
