South Goa MP Captain Viriato Fernandes inspected the Keri-Khandepar road and assured locals that he would convene a meeting with officials to discuss their demands for a flyover or underpass, given the difficulty they face in crossing the road.
Capt. Fernandes was interacting with the locals in the presence of Ponda Block Congress President Rajesh Verekar and others.
The locals have been demanding a flyover or an underpass as they face difficulty in crossing the road. They claimed that the PWD did not provide an underpass or flyover to reach to the nearby church, primary school, anganwadi and temple.
After an inspection of the Keri“Khandepar road, Capt. Fernandes said the locals were not taken into confidence while constructing the road.
“I will convene a meeting with officials from the PWD, Panchayat, Water Resources Department and locals to work out a solution,” said Capt. Fernandes.
