Sports ground inaugurated at Chorao
BICHOLIM: Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar said the sports department has completed projects worth Rs 400 crore during the last four years and the government is now concentrating on promoting rural sports.
He was speaking after inaugurating the new sports complex constructed at Chamare-Chorao. The new complex has been constructed at a cost of Rs 2.40 crore.
Speaker Anant Shet said he has decided to develop Mayem constituency in par with other developed constituencies.
The programme was also attended by Panchayat Minister Rajendra Arlekar, Sakhali MLA Dr Pramod Sawant, North Goa ZP president Ankita Navelkar, ZP member Shankar Chodankar, Chorao Sarpanch Aarti Bandodkar and others.
